What are young people saying about health services?

Following our initial engagement with young people across Warwickshire, we are investigating the barriers young people face when they need to see a GP (doctor) or need support from mental health services. If you are aged between 16 - 24 years old, we would like to hear your experiences of contacting services and receiving healthcare.

You can fill in our online survey, here

What did you already tell us?

At our visits to colleges in October 2024, you told us about what makes it difficult for you to use health services (see chart below)

You told us about your experiences of using pharmacies and we have shared this anonymous feedback with the Community Pharmacy Lead at the ICB (Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board)

We asked 'What would make it easier for you to use health services?'

Some things you told us were:

“I don't take phone calls often and prefer not to use the phone.”

“If simplified versions of written information were available. There is too much writing on the website.”

“Take me more seriously. Do more research on people with autism.”

What difference will your feedback about GPs and mental health services make?

Our aim is to help young people in Warwickshire get support, from a GP or mental health services, when they need it. We want to know if you can find good information, and where you would like to get that information. We would like to hear about your experiences of making appointments and getting treatment.

How can you share your experiences of GPs and mental health services with us?

You can fill in our online survey, here

You can call us (01926) 422 823, if you would like someone to talk through the survey questions with.

You can talk to us in person at an event, or at your college. (Event dates here)
